Last week at the Ibero-American Summit King Juan Carlos of Spain told Hugo Chavez to “¿Por qué no te callas?” which translates to “why don’t you shut up?” in English.
With some help from crafty YouTubers, what was a simple moment of political banter has become the hottest selling ringtone in Spain’s history.
An estimated 500,000 people have downloaded the ringtone which have pushed sales past the 1.5 million euro mark. It is also said that branded mugs and t-shirts are selling very well.
