Last week, San Diego Padres ace right-hander nixed a trade that would have sent him to the middling Chicago White Sox, and now he might have made the right choice. The Padres are white hot right now, riding high after a 10-game winning streak. Jake Peavy has been dominant in his two starts during the streak and his team may be poised for a run at the NL Wild Card, possibly the division.

Winning their 20th game in row, the Houston Rockets have much to be happy about. And the only thing better than hearing Dikembe Mutombo speak is hearing his teammates attempt to ape his incomprehensible, albeit endearing, babble.
