In honor of St. Patty’s day next week, we decided to take a look at Tullamore Dew, a historic Irish whiskey. Then on a seriously potent note we got a hold of our good friends at Wild Turkey to test Wild Turkey 101. To wrap things up we wanted to end on a high note with a little dessert, so we decided to go with Pinnacle Whipped Vodka as our closer this week. Make sure to check out our full reviews and drink recipes after the jump!

For many drink enthusiasts, Scotch and Bourbon stand strongest at opposite ends of the “brown spirit” battlefield. To the West, the sweet punch to the face of Bourbon, America’s whiskey; to the East, Scotch whisky — a deep, smoky Highland warrior.

So, I’ve gone ahead and selected a few matches here, where the ingredient… Click to read more

I’m not going to lie, bringing you this week’s edition of COED’s drinks of the week wasn’t easy! Put yourself in our shoes for a moment and just think about it. How would you like it if you had to taste test a premium american vodka, a quadruple distilled London dry gin, and then an 8 year aged bourbon whiskey? That’s right, you’d feel hungover, and so do we! This week we take a look at BAMA Vodka, Bulldog Gin, and Jim Beam Black. Let’s do this before I get the spins again.

Spiced rum, ultra premium tequila, and 160 proof whiskey… Wow, it sounds like we’re gearing up to make a seriously potent batch of jungle juice. While it’s not a bad idea, there will be no jungle juice this week. Instead we are excited to bring you our second installment of “COED’s Drinks of the Week.” featuring BlackBeard Rum, Tequlia Avión, and Old Homicide Straight Rye Whiskey.

Usually Jameson or Patron would be enough fuel for the fire, but every once in a while we still find ourselves creeping into something with the ultimate in extra torque. Whether it’s Everclear, Bacardi 151, or Yukon Jack, these guys are capable of being your best friends or worst enemies within the blink of an eye.

SoCo and lime shots are for kids raiding their parent’s liquor cabinets. It’s time to grow up and start drinking quality whiskey that’s rooted in tradition — 400 years of tradition. Bushmills Irish whiskey is over 400 years old which means you get to brag to your less classy (and historically-inclined) friends that you’re drinking the same stuff as George Washington.

We all remember those moments in high school where someone sneakily pulled out a bottle of booze they found in their parent’s basement, as if it were some sort of magical elixir. Maybe we thought it would make us look cool, or maybe we were just curious, but somehow we couldn’t resist. Even if it was a seven-year old plastic pint of vodka that was sitting in someone’s Dad’s sock drawer, you’ll never forget some of the disgusting, weird drinks you tried back in high school.

Today’s stereotyping doesn’t come from skin color, religion, or sexual preference (well it does, but not for the sake of this article). Here are the stereotypes that come along with the alcohol you drink.
