West Virginia University is among numerous colleges across the country who can’t find enough people to fill all the open positions on campus.
Morgantown, W.Va., home to WVU has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the U.S. — just 3.9% — and the university itself has about 260 job openings, from nurses to professors to programmers. In fact, of the six metropolitan areas with unemployment below 4% as of January, three of them are considered college towns. One is Morgantown. The pattern holds true for many other big college towns, such as Gainesville, Fla., Ann Arbor, Mich., Manhattan, Kan., and Boulder, Colo. In stark contrast, the unadjusted national unemployment rate is 8.5%.
If graduation is looming and you’re worried about finding a job check out this article and consider moving to a college town. There is plenty to do, there will be plenty of people your age and it has a strong sense of community.

As you all know, we here at COED love these peppy ladies more than life itself (except the part of life that involves cheerleaders, of course). So get ready for our seventh installment of Cheerleader Showdown!
This time, we’ve got the lovely Kendra from WVU. Next up is East Carolina University’s blond bombshell Cassie Adcock. And rounding out the competition comes Boston College’s Molly.
In Cheerleader Showdown I Whitney McMillan (Old Dominion) demolished the competition with 78-percent of the votes. In Cheerleader Showdown II, Holly Simmons from University of Tennessee came out on top with 54-percent of the votes. In Cheerleader Showdown III, Lauren Thompson topped the competition with over 60-percent of the votes. In Cheerleader Showdown IV, Oregon Duck Kelsi Metzler won with 60% of the vote. In Cheerleader Showdown V it was Shiloh of Arizona who beat her competition with 61% of the votes. In Cheerleader Showdown VI it was Lisa of UCLA who beat her competition with 68% of the votes.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are full-on into football season and you know what the means – lots of sitting on the couch. But besides hours and hours of watch the greatest game ever created, it means tons of super hot cheerleaders prancing around just to get you in the mood.
But that begs the question: Who has the hotter cheerleaders, the NFL or the NCAA? With this much sexiness going on, we couldn’t decide for ourselves, so we’ve put them head-to-head and all we need is a little help to get to the bottom of this pressing question. You don’t mind, do you?

This week, the internets have been blessed with new pics of the uber-hot Cal pole vaulter Allison Stokke. While COED still has mad love for perhaps the greatest backside in all college sports, the jury is still out on whether Ms. Stokke is in fact the ultimate queen supreme, or does the title rightfully belong to West Virginia’s sexy soccer star, Amanda Cicchini?
Noel Devine (view his pimped out Wikipedia page) is single handedly leading West Virginia to a BCS win in the Tostito’s Fiesta Bowl over Oklahoma State. Before his stellar career at West Virginia Noel was made into an internet superstar when a series of YouTube videos from his high school playing days was released. The video’s show him ’schooling’ every other player on the field with quick cuts, dazzling speed and inability to be tackled.
Because of Noel’s YouTube videos he was listed as the top running back prospect of the 2007 high school class. Noel is a true internet star and seems to be a shoe in for a future Heisman Trophy.
