Today, the world watched as Michael Jackson was laid to rest. There were laughs and tears and a whole lot of singing. And just as we expected, the memorial climaxed with a rendition of “We Are the World”. MTV has hit the nail on the head with their new music video website launched earlier this week.

Think of MTVmusic.com as Hulu for music videos – currently offering thousands of embeddable music videos ranging from Gun’s and Roses’ classics to the newest Rihanna releases, MTV plans on offering the most complete music video archive on the interweb.

The only thing stopping MTVmusic from overtaking YouTube as the go-to music video sharing service is MTV’s inability to play nice on the playground. A perfect example can be found in Weird Al Yankovic’s “Don’t Download This Song.”  As pointed out by CrunchGear, MTVmusic bleeped out the names of file sharing sites to deter people from using non-MTV affiliated music services to download music. Japanese We Are The World – Watch more free videos

Continuing the never-ending saga that is their marriage, Jimmy Kimmel dispatched a diss last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live to his wifey, Sarah Silverman, after her “I’m F***ing Matt Damon” music video murked him something fierce weeks earlier.

His retort? He’s f***ing Ben Affleck.

Featuring a cast of thousands, Kimmel’s music video for “I’m F***ing Ben Affleck” (probably written by Silverman, funny enough) is straight-up ridiculous. High points include Kimmel and Affleck singing way too close for comfort and a “We Are the World” celebrity hoedown – but the greatest (and most unexpected) part happens 2:45 into the video.
