As of Friday afternoon, everyone is at 0-0 (almost, sorry Baylor, you got hammered). With the openning day kick-off less than 24 hours away, let us put Obama/McCain on hold and turn our attention to young men being given free educations in exchange for engaging in the controlled violence that we in the U.S. call NCAA College Football.

Partying With College Cheerleaders: Virginia Tech’s 2005 Squad at the NCAA Nationals in Daytona Beach
Looks like 2005 was a fun year for the Lady Hokies. Not only did they gear up to compete in the NCAA Championships in Daytona, they appeared to do a little partying as well.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wrestling on the beach in a cheerleader uniform, is there? Nor is there anything wrong with carrying around a handle of Captain Morgan’s, right?
Man I wish these pictures were from 2008. These cuties from Virginia Tech would have a lot of explaining to do.

Yesterday did not fair well for our cappers as they racked up one win but three L’s.
New comer Fenboy (taking Portland – 5 last night) can thank Pepperdine’s Rico Tucker (Facebook Message or Poke) for scoring 17 points, all of them in the second half, as Pepperdine overcame an 18-point second-half deficit to beat Portland 71-66 giving Fenboy an 0-1 start.
Like Bone (taking Kansas -4.5 last night) said this was a huge game for both Texas and Kansas. The rivalry is quickly becoming the marquee match-up of the Big 12 conference. Bone’s player to watch, Brandon Rush (Facebook message or poke), was the key to Kansas’ loss scoring only 10 points, 3 below his season average, securing a 3 point cover busting loss for the Jayhawks.
New comer Gebsta (taking St. Mary’s +5.5 last night) didn’t fair well either. It came down to the wire but St. Mary’s couldn’t tack on two additional last seconds points to cover the spread in their 54-50 win against Santa Clara.
DA Zeus (taking Utah State +6.5 last night) was right on with his prediction as Vegas gave Utah State 1.5 points too many. Utah State covered the +6.5 spread bringing DA Zeus to an overall tie with Bone at 1-1.
Today we welcome capper K-Lo from Seton Hall University – hopefully he has a better first round then Fenboy and Gebsta did yesterday.

We all know the charges, and we all find them disgusting and reprehensible; but despite the outcries from all the protestors, the National Football League should not suspend Atlanta Falcon’s quarterback Michael Vick because of the allegations of his involvement in an underground dog-fighting operation.
