5 Classic Commemorative Russian Space Program Posters

Na Zdorovie! Today marks the 50th anniversary of one of mankind's momentous accomplishments - humanity's first successful journey into outer space. And holding that prestigious honor is Yuri Gagarin, a Russian pilot and cosmonaut who, in the Vostok spacecraft, orbited the Earth and was hailed as a hero by his country, much to the chagrin of Americans back on the ground.

To commemorate this occasion, Chicago-based freelance graphic designer, Justin Van Genderen has created a series of Russian Space Program posters in the vernacular art deco style of the early 60s. See these fantastic art pieces for yourself and check out more at his website 2064 Design, comrade!
