Ana Ivanovic Loses In 2nd Round of US Open… Retains No. 1 Seed As Hottest Tennis Player

The tennis world received quite a blow today as super-hottie superstar Ana Ivanovic lost her 2nd round US Open match to the 188th ranked Clemson grad Julie Coin. The loss marks the earliest exit of a number one seed in the Open’s 40 year history.

We here at COED are crushed to see our favorite felt-whacker receive such a crushing blow so early in the tournament. And although it is certain Ivanovic will lose her status as the No. 1 player in the world, she still remains our #1 seed as COED’s Sexiest Athlete of the 2008 US Open.

Forever On Top: Michael Strahan Staying In Retirement

In the wake of Osi Umenyiora’s season-ending knee surgery, the best news for Giants fans is that Michael Strahan is staying put in retirement.  Why, do you ask?  Because Strahan was a warrior for the Giants over his prolific 15-year career, and he deserves that his final chapter be written with its current fairy tale ending.  He went out healthy, he went out respected, and most importantly, he went out a champion.

Strahan’s leadership will sorely be missed in New York, but now is the time for Eli Manning to take the reins of the franchise. Eli’s fourth quarter in Super Bowl 42 demonstrated that not only is he capable, but also he is ready. (more…)

17 Girls Pregnant At Gloucester High

In what would seem a moment of incredible shared stupidity, 17 girls at Gloucester High School in Massachusetts made a secret pact to get pregnant, and did. With teachers and administrators confused by the increase in knocked-up students–four times last year’s amount–the girls were doing whoever they could to get a bun in the oven. One of the girls even boned a homeless dude. (more…)
