Everywhere large groups of college kids go; even larger amounts of bullsh*t are sure to follow. This morning, Playboy released its list of Top 10 Party Schools featured in the magazine’s May 2011 issue on newsstands and online at playboydigital.com Friday, April 15. The rankings were determined by Playboy’s editors with input from students, Facebook fans, Twitter followers, alumni, feedback from Playboy campus representatives at schools across the country, and interviews with countless others. Other factors included male-female ratios, academics, winning percentage of sports teams, and proximity to beaches, ski slopes and lively music scenes. One school will DEFINITELY jump out at you. As the NCAA’s most celebrated living mascot, the University of Georgia bulldog is one important canine. To date, there have been eight dogs that have held the name Uga (pronounced UH-guh) a derivation of the school’s familiar acronym UGA. Frank W. “Sonny” Seiler has owned the Uga lineage since 1956 taking each dog to every game from his home in Savannah, Ga. ever since. Every dog has had its own personality, legacy, and win record but each shares in the long held traditions of college mascots.

What’s a “Public Ivy?” It’s a school that provides an Ivy League collegiate experience at a public school price. Originally, only eight schools were considered Public Ivies, but since then, more schools have been added to the list. COED breaks down what makes these Public Ivies so (inexpensively) awesome.

This weekend, the Florida Gators and the Georgia Bulldogs will take the field for what’s sure to be an epic game of football.
