With Netflix’s announcement they’ll be separating their DVD and streaming operations (previously known as Netflix Instant) into 2 businesses and rename the DVD segment “Qwikster”, a lot of users have decided to cut ties with the company and cancel their subscriptions. But, where do they go once the bridge is burnt? What other services are out there and how do they stack up against the reigning king of home entertainment? Luckily, the guys at UltimateCoupons.com put together this handy infographic to help you decide. Check it out after the jump.
Whenever I’m high, I want three things: funny sh*t, food, and more weed. In this post, we address the first of my desires – shows that are guaranteed to make me laugh my @ss off. Sure, the development of On Demand television makes it easier for me to find what I want, but sometimes I forget what I’m doing. For the sake of potheads everywhere, I propose a channel that plays only what we want to watch through the clouds of smoke: Channel 420. Check out our nominees and vote for the shows you think should make it onto our channel after the jump.

Reality TV started with the “Real World” in New York and changed television forever. I bet MTV had no idea that over twenty years down the line such vile and vapid garbage such as “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and “The Jersey Shore” would spawn from a harmless airing of strangers living together. The idea snowballed into some really revolting and unethical shows in the future. Let’s face it, all reality tv is unethical, but the shows after the jump take the cake!

It’s not uncommon for stand-up comedians to make the transition from one form of media to another, be it television, movies, cartoons or even music. With comedians like Louis CK and Daniel Tosh having landed their own TV programs, it just goes to show that their versatility has allowed them to dominate the television front. But still, there are many comedians that – regardless of their incomparable talent and popularity – have yet to have a show of their very own. Which ones would we tune in to watch every week? Read on to see COED’s list of 7 comedians that deserve their own television shows!

With news of 24 getting the green light to become a movie along with speculation about other shows (CSI, etc.), we have to wonder if Hollywood has amnesia. You see, it’s so rare for a TV show to make the leap to the big screen and not pay dearly for it! So, even though some producer or director will f*** ‘em up with their own retarded “vision” or modernizing or re-imagining, here’s our list of TV shows that would make great movies (in the right hands). See the list and vote for your favorite after the jump!

While we’re hardly TV snobs (hey, it’s not called the “boob tube” for nothing) there are some shows we definitely can’t stand. Fortunately, we do have people with the common sense to know when it’s time to pull the plug. But often times, we get television programs that don’t know when to stay dead after jumping the shark. Like a zombie, they lurch across our TV screens and eat away at every last brain cell until we’re mute vegetables unable to change the channel. Here’s a top ten list of the television shows which manage to suck hard while dominating the ratings!

There was once a time when animated sitcoms were all the rage in the wake of shows like The Simpsons and King of the Hill. It seemed like every network threw their hat into the ring at some point. However, many of these shows were either mega ratings bombs or were canned for not pulling in Simpsons-esque numbers. As a result, these series were canceled after their first season, several before their entire run had finished. These are a few of the unlucky ones that never found their place on network television, though most of them enjoy relatively decent success on cable and DVD. See our top 8 picks after the jump!

Over the last ten years video games have truly broken into the mainstream. A solid game won’t just fly off GameStop shelves, but they’ll end up on bookshelves and even the big screen. But what about television? With the exception of crummy cartoons based on Mario, Sonic, and Kirby, it seems that major TV networks are allergic to video game adaptations. It’s time for them to sack up and make quality TV shows based on our favorite games. We’ve even compiled a list to help them get started. You’re welcome, fat cats!

The show Glee has been a monster hit. The recipe of celebrity cameos, acapella covers of pop hits, and a feel good story has everybody buzzing about the show. Sounds like a cheesy show for girls, right? Wrong.
There are plenty of reasons for you to start watching Glee. Here are a few of them…

Steve Erkle was on TV like six times daily, and Lauren Hill was the Cat’s Meow and the Heir Apparent to Music royalty, but now that it’s year 2010, you may be asking yourself where are some of those people? What happened? Television and radio has changed in the past ten-fifteen years. New stars have rose while other celebrities have fallen off or moved to another planet seems like. What happened to these people?

Men and Women tend to disagree on several things. Seat up verse seat down. SportsCenter verse Chelsea Lately. “Stop and ask for directions” verse “keep driving, we will get there when we get there.”
Some things never change but I have compiled a list of television shows that your girl probably watches that you might actually enjoy. “But what makes you an exper… Click to read more

While we Americans get all riled up for the airbrushed action of American Gladiators, the Japanese one-up us with their true-blue displays of athleticism and pure entertainment.
As I explained in my Knight Rider review, the majority of American television producers spend far too much time bolstering their production when they should be giving us…… Click to read more
