If you missed the premier of HBO’s new series, ‘Eastbound and Down,’ then you missed one of the funniest shows on television. Danny McBride, star of recent comic hits, Tropic Thunder, Pineapple Express and Superbad, plays washed-up MLB pitcher, Kenny Powers, who returns to his hometown and is forced to get a job as a substitute teacher. This results in some of the best overweight, permed-mullet laughs this side of the Mason-Dixon line. And luckily for you, we’ve found the entire first episode streaming online, here! But beware, the language is very NSFW and there’s some nudity at the end, so don’t say we didn’t warn you.

In April 1996 Robert Downey Jr. was arrested for possession of heroin, cocaine and having an unloaded .357-caliber Magnum, while he was speeding down Sunset Boulevard.
Now, eight years later the 43 year-old Iron Man star has been to hell and back, showing “how he defeated his demons to become Hollywood’s badass superhero in the latest issue of Rolling Stone.” [Just Jared]
In this recent interview, Downey Jr. discusses his current identity, his crazy schedule since Iron Man, the release of Tropic Thunder and how he is moving forward with his life since his days of drug addiction and living on the edge.
Downey Jr. is one cool cat!
Check out the full interview or pick up the issue of Rolling Stone on news stands, now.

The PC Brigade is at it again, their target Ben Stiller’s new movie Tropic Thunder. The movie is about a group of actors who are filming a war movie on location in a combat zone and wind up being captured by guerrillas.
The cause of the controversy is Stiller’s character, Tugg Speedman, who in a bid for an Oscar did a movie called “Simple Jack” about a man who was, uh, mentally challenged. It’s tagline, “Once upon a time…there was a retard.” The producers decided to launch a companion website with clips from the ‘film within a film’ and intersperse clips throughout the movie. Though intended to be a parody of how actors portray disabilities in successful bids to win Oscars, the joke was lost on disability activists.
Patricia Bower posted on her website that activists are upset because retarded people, “share a history of segregation and exclusion, and report that what many call the “R-word” reinforces negative social attitudes just as surely as racial, ethnic, and sexually oriented slurs do.” (more…)
