What is your favorite Halloween song? Ghostbusters theme? Monster Mash? Thriller? Those are all good choices, but also very predictable. Being the spontaneous son-of-a-bitch that I am my favorite Halloween song is Tracy Morgan’s “Werewolf Bar Mitzvah” from a 2007 episode of “30 Rock.” No idea what I’m talking about? Just check out the video below.
It’s hard to believe that just over three years ago most of us had written Saturday Night Live off as irrelevant. This usually happens about once every ten years or so, but it seemed for real this time. Will Ferrel left to become a movie star, and most of the other reliable cast members like Molly Shannon, Tracy Morgan, Chris Kattan, etc. had moved on as well.
Jimmy Fallon, who is a hack, had swept through the halls of Rockefeller Center like an unfunny virus, leaving in his wake a legacy of ruining every sketch he was ever in, and a bunch of seemingly mediocre nobodies to fill the void. Ratings were horrible, rumors of cancellation were swirling, and things were looking very bleak for the once groundbreaking show. But then something incredible happened — something put SNL back on the map and also introduced us to an exciting new brand of sketch comedy — Lazy Sunday aired. (more…)
If there’s one reason to watch 30 Rock, it’s Tracy Motherf**kin’ Morgan. The dude was on Saturday Night Live for seven years, and he’s still killing it as one of the funniest men in America. His slightly slurred speech, almost nonsensical sense of humor and don’t-give-a-sh*t attitude isn’t for the feint of heart. Luckily, our hearts are made of lead and whisky.

Writing letters to Santa is so 20th Century. This year, kids in the know are forgoing the jolly ol’ fat man for 30 Rock’s funny ol’ black man, Tracy Morgan Jordan. In this video, he’ll answer everything from what kind of crayon he’d make (if he made crayons) to “What is time?” Sure, the answers might not “make sense,” but with the way things are going these days, making sense also seems to be a thing of the past. So pay attention boys and girls, you might just learn yourself something…you know, or not. But you’ll laugh your ass off either way.
Not only is Thursday officially All Hallows Eve-Eve, but it also marks the long anticipated return of 30 Rock. So what better way to celebrate this spooky-scary day of sweetness than with Tracy Jordan’s instant Halloween classic Werewolf Bar Mitzvah? There is none. You are welcome.
