The 30 Most Anticipated Movies of 2011

COED’s Most Anticipated Movies of 2010 hailed the film adaptation of “Arrested Development” as the most eagerly awaited release for this past year. So, what makes us want to see a movie? It could be our admiration for certain actors or directors, or it could be as simple as a bad-ass poster or tagline. Whatever the case may be, we’ve combed Variety’s Film Release Chart for the movies releasing in 2011 that could be on your “Best Of” list come this time next year. This is about that time when every site releases their annual lists of the best and worst that went down in the calendar year. It’s a time for everyone to reflect on all the memorable moments; to place a bow on the past and send it packing as we welcome Baby New Year. It’s a rundown of the females in pop culture who made an impression on us – whether it was for posing nude, declaring their sexuality, or for demanding oral sex. Is it always about sex? Seth Rogen fatigue is setting in, so we left The Green Hornet off the list. Ditto to the inevitable Nightmare on Elm Street remake, even though it landed Jackie Earle Haley to play Freddy Krueger. Remakes of Clash of the Titans and Death at a Funeral and the possible Ben Stiller/Tom Cruise comedy The Hardy Men might be good, but there were too many other interesting movies to pick from.
