Out of all of the ‘live ‘ electronic music that I’ve seen, the Chemical Brothers are easily the most visually stimulating DJs that you can go and see. Instead of merely mixing their songs together, their use of serious visual effects that create an experience unlike any other. Truthfully, watching a DJ spin isn’t that exciting whi… Click to read more

I thought that I had seen it all at Electric Zoo, and then I saw this legendary geezer. Not only is he the lone old-head at a banging techno show, but electro-wizard has a wand that looks like it’s filled with mead. Beer’s not an option when there’s hard liquor around, because this dude makes a bottle of Jager apparate and then proceeds to take that bottle to his face – all while wearing the cap as a monocle. Only at an electronic music show can you see this craziness. Check to the video after the jump.

The electronic dance music scene, also known as EDM, has seen a surge of masked DJs over the past decade. From classic house producers like Daft Punk, to newer electronic mixers like the Bloody Beetroots, these masked DJs have mesmerized the massed with their musical pursuits. Some say Leo DiCaprio‘s 1998 movie “The Man In the Iron Mask” was based on a house DJ. Let’s get to know the men (and women?) behind the masks!

If you’re tired of listening to the same old crap — especially if you’re an FM radio junkie — now is the time to expand your horizons. The world is absolutely teeming with excellent artists who have a few things to say outside the realm of “get drunk/get high/get laid/bust a cap/smack a ho/check my rims.” Sometimes, they don’t say anything at all. “Music without lyrics?!” you ask, outraged. Yes, and it’s often better that way. Here are some artists that might not be at the top of the charts, but deserve a listen all the same:

This weekend was the 18th annual Love Parade in Germany; an annual techno fest that’s been happening since 1989. But like all things that involves techno music, strobe lights, and hallucinogenic drugs, things went horribly wrong. So in honor of the end of what was once a wonderful event, we give you girls of the Love Parade.

Rob Zombie “Hellbilly Deluxe II”
Perfect music for: Taking down a pack of werewolves from your ’65 Charger
You know what to expect from Rob Zombie. It’s a pretty simple equation. Weird sound effects under a stellarly clear hi-fi guitar, the occasional solo, Rob saying the ‘M-F’ word a whole bunch. And if the two si… Click to read more

When I first stumbled upon the worldwide sensation known as Tecktonik I thought “Oh boy, these techno-freaks-slash-coked-up-ravers are gonna give Guidos a run for their money.” Then I watched this video compilation of Tecktonik kids dancing it up…and I still think that I’m right.
Outside of a few cute girls gyrating all serpen… Click to read more
