Super Cool Trend Alert: Braille Tattoos

If a blind person has a more acute sense of touching, then why not cater to their attribute by giving them a tattoo they can feel? And I mean feel.
Klara Jirkova, a student at the University of Arts in Berlin, has created the “Braille Tattoo,” a series of surgically implanted “bumps” made of either steel, titanium or plastic placed under the skin.
Once the material is implanted under the skin reading the Braille tattoo is as easy as running your fingers over the surface.
Jirkova hopes that this new form of tattoo will be used as a casual source of identification - a handshake followed by a hand-scan. Read more

Living in New York City, I get to see all the hipsters come out to play. Lucky me!Iâm not a hipster myself, but I know how to spot them. I know about the tight pants, the big glasses, The Misshapes, etc. But I had NO idea it is now cool, trendy and wellâ¦.hip, to look like this.
WTF is this? Is this guy for real? Are those teal shorts for real? Is that netted, mesh tank top, for real? ARE THOSE GLASSES FOR REAL?
Apparently, they are and so is he. And so are a lot of other hep cats living in Brooklyn and will be soon scattered throughout the entire country, Iâm sure. And, thus is the beginning of âFashion Futurism,â? a trend that mixes bright and ballsy â80âs fashion with a Jetsons type vibe. Read more
