Back in late May, we took a look at the 11 NHL cities that have never kissed Lord Stanley’s Cup. Almost 27% of voters thought the Capitals would be the team to bring their city its first ever championship. Atlanta was also on that list – now they don’t even have a team. But, at least they love their Falcons… even after 45 trophy-less years. So, with the Falcons considered Super Bowl contenders this season (even after their horrific loss to the Bears Sunday), we thought we’d take a look at all the NFL cities who’ve yet to hear their MVP say he’s going to Disney Land. Check out the full list then vote for the city you think will win its first ever Lombardi first after the jump.

By now, you’ve probably heard Wiz Khalifa’s song “Black & Yellow” about 1 brahgrillion times. As with most anything that blows the eff up in pop culture, it usually gets the spoof or parody treatment. The deluge began with Tom Hanks’ son Chet Hanks aka Chet Haze with his Northwestern Remix “White and Purple”. Since then, many more have stepped up to the plate with the most notable remix coming from Lil Wayne with “Green and Yellow”. So, we scoured za YouTube to collect the very best remixes to ask you guys which one is most legit. You know a song’s blown up when UPS and Black & Decker throw their hat into the ring. Btw, be prepared to HATE this song once you’re done reviewing our entries. Vote for your favorite after the jump!

So, COED went 3-1 last week with our predictions, though our final scores were way off. Take a wild (card) guess which game we lost on. That’s right. Those wiley Seahawks. Marshawn Lynch (no relation) had one of the most epic… whoops, can’t use that word… the craziest run in the history of the playoffs shedding 8 tackles en route to a long touchdown. See our predictions (and pics of each team’s cheerleaders) after the jump!

This weekend’s Wild Card games should be interesting. You have the Packers flying into Philly to try to ground Vick and The Eagles (sounds like a band name), the still dangerous Saints descending on Seattle to show the worst playoff team in the history of the NFL a quick exit, the Ravens pecking away at the upstart Chiefs, and the foot-lovin’ Jets… Click to read more

After another wild weekend in the NFL, the final seeds are set for this year’s playoffs. Twelve teams will enter the postseason with Super Bowl aspirations, all of which believe they have a realistic shot at making the Big Game. As most teams gear up for this “new” season, they believe all bets are off. Regular season records no longer matter. It’s what you do in this next 3-4 games that counts. So, if you’re a Chiefs or Seahawks fan and you think there’s not a shot in hell your team’s holding the Lombardi Trophy come February, you might want to take a look at this list of Super Bowl improbables.

So what’s in a name? Well, for sports teams, everything. The name is the rally cry, the identity, the face of the franchise, and the word that strikes fear in the opponent. A good name leads to a cool mascot, which leads to a source of inspiration for players and fans alike. However, there are some team names that are laughable and/or synonymous with failure and/or humiliation. These are those teams…

When it rains as often a it does in Seattle you have to try hard sometime to find a way to lift your spirits. Monday through Saturday I would say that a venti caramel fracino from Starbuks would do the trick, but the real relief comes on Sundays during the fall. I’m not talking about the guys on the gridiron, but the gals on the side of it.

A new identity is starting to form for some teams with the conclusion of the NFL draft. Many teams drafted very well, filling many of the holes they had; others have been active in the trade department. Either way there are a handful of teams that have been either skirting the edge of success or have not seen it in sometime that may be in a good position to make a run for the Super Bowl in Dallas.

With the NFL draft quickly approaching on April 22, outrageous rookie contracts and salaries are becoming a hot topic once again. When 21-year-old players who haven’t passed all their humanities courses are being guaranteed upwards of $30 to $40 million, it has become clear you don’t have to be a middle-aged Wall Street mogul to be a mega-rich anymore.
