I’m not exactly sure what to make of Sarah Silverman’s newest video. On the one hand, it just kind of seems like the comedian is trying desperately to hit that perfect note between outrageous, and just cute enough to make everyone like her, in order to have her own viral video. Either that, or she really just wants to sell the Vatican to end world hunger. (Which is not a bad idea, btw…)
Continuing the never-ending saga that is their marriage, Jimmy Kimmel dispatched a diss last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live to his wifey, Sarah Silverman, after her “I’m F***ing Matt Damon” music video murked him something fierce weeks earlier.
His retort? He’s f***ing Ben Affleck.
Featuring a cast of thousands, Kimmel’s music video for “I’m F***ing Ben Affleck” (probably written by Silverman, funny enough) is straight-up ridiculous. High points include Kimmel and Affleck singing way too close for comfort and a “We Are the World” celebrity hoedown – but the greatest (and most unexpected) part happens 2:45 into the video. Watch and be dumbstruck.

Jimmy Kimmel is known to constantly apologize to Matt Damon for always running out of time when he’s scheduled to appear as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live. This particular gag has been running for years, leading up to Damon looking for revenge. So what better way to get your “karmic” desserts than to sleep with your sworn enemies’ wife and have her write a song about the dirty deed?
Needless to say, that’s exactly what went down: Matt Damon and Sarah Silverman hooked up, and they want to share their experience with Jimmy and the world.
Sarah Silverman’s style of comedy will usually split any room into two parties, one in favor of her lewd remarks, one not so impressed – but not this time!
Kudos to Matt Damon for being such a good sport, and for having some sweet dance moves.
While the katana-tongued comedienne has as many haters as she does lovers, one thing is for certain: she will make you feel uncomfortable, guaranteed.
Whether that’s a plus or minus is up for debate.
With that said, what could be more entertaining than hearing Silverman rant about sex, race, kids, and religion in convenient, bite-size clips? Not much, I suppose.
Check out Sarah Silverman’s “Me Moments,” and tune in to Comedy Central tonight at 10:30 EST to see a brand-new episode of The Sarah Silverman Program.
Last night the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards proved that a large chunk of the entertainment world is ruled by talentless hacks.
From technical difficulties (did anybody sound-check anything beforehand?) to only showing snippets of live performances by music’s heavy-hitters at various locations around Las Vegas – Kanye, five-times snubbed out of awards last night, is reportedly through with the VMAs after his performance was butchered by execs – MTV has fully transformed into a Metric Ton of Visuals.
The highlights lowlights:
Britney’s show-opening, pace-making, stupefying, phoned-in performance of her single “Gimme More.” Even Spears’ super-fans were stunned by her carelessness. As for the “magic” of Criss Angel assisting Brit? Smoke and mirrors, I guess – just like Brit herself.
Sarah Silverman’s harsh put-downs of Brit left the room in a deep silence. F***ing everybody looked away when the camera panned to them after any of Silverman’s barbs towards Brit. Just one more example of celebs having all the money and power in the world and doing nothing short of saving face. Despicable.
