Sam Bradford, the Rams first year quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner from the University of Oklahoma, can add another achievement to his resume: NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Thanks to a season in which he almost lead the franchise to its first playoff berth in 6 seasons, Bradford solidified himself as a leader and viable weapon. He now holds the records for most consecutive passes thrown without an interception by a rookie, most attempts by a rookie in NFL history, and most completions by a rookie in NFL history. There is something special about getting drafted in the NFL. It’s like validation for the hours upon hours you put in working out, watching film, and just kicking the crap out of your opponents on the football field. The last guy in the draft will likely get league minimum- $325,000 but also the glory of the title Mr. Irrelevant.

It should be of no surprise to you that we at COED pulled for the Gators in BCS Championship game. Sure Sam Bradford seems like a stand-up guy, and the Sooners have a smokin’ hot cheerleadering squad, but ever since our mind blowing road trip to Gainsville for the LSU vs UF game in October our loyalty has been with the Gators.

According to an eagle-eyed reader in Tulsa, Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford visited the New York Stock Exchange Tuesday, and news reports stated that he was accompanied by his girlfriend, Oklahoma student Kelsey Kurtz.
