When you wake up from a night of drinking with a raging hangover, the only thing you can think about for the rest of the day is how to kick that pounding headache and nasty nausea as soon as humanly possible. Because of this, anything that seems like it might help you get even close to normal sounds like a good idea. You’ve seen 22 year-old Catrinel Menghia in the pages of FHM and Maxim. And as Holy Taco says, “having a name that sounds like a disgusting disease, Catrinel Menghia did a bunch of modeling in Romania. Which means she’s either a filthy gypsy or a bloodthirsty vampire. This is easily one of the most nutso stories out today.
Daniel Corogeanu, a former priest in Romania, was sentenced to seven years in prison for the 2005 murder of Maricica Irina Cornici, a nun marked as having the Devil inside her.
If that wasn’t odd enough, the way she died is: Corogeanu and four nuns subjected Cornici to a full-blown exorcism, bounding her to a cross and leaving her without food and water for four days. Strangle marks were also found around her neck.
I would usually state that strangle marks indicate foul play, but I think the crucifixion of a young, helpless woman may be considered foul play altogether. (more…)
