I’m fairly certain that at least three of Quentin Tarantino’s movies are on my Top 10 Movies I Can Watch At Any Point. They’re gritty, usually violent, and have some great monologues. The woman who played sexy, seductive saboteur Bridget von Hammersmark in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds, Diane Kruger will next appear on the big screen alongside Liam Neeson in the stolen-identity thriller Unknown. Though “alongside” isn’t quite the word, as she says, “I’m five foot seven, but Liam’s about six foot…I dunno, ten? He’s like a bus next to me.” If I were Liam, I’d be like “Get on the bus… a Liam Neeson joint”. By far my least favorite thing about my most favorite movie of 2009 was the casting of Eli Roth in the role of the “Bear Jew”. But despite his severe shortcomings as an actor, his direction of the Nazi propaganda short “Nation’s Pride” almost makes up for his awkward inclusion in Quentin Tarantino’s masterful Inglorious Basterds. Sadly, if Roth is taking cue from the QT school of acting, we probably haven’t seen the last…
