This past weekend was the premiere episode of Saturday Night Live’s 37th season. Alec Baldwin was the host (for the eleventieth time) and integral part of yet another round of hilarious “never before seen” screen test auditions. This time, it was for the 25th anniversary of Top Gun. These always seem to do so well, it’s amazing they haven’t done more. Nothing makes a movie stand out more than having a good soundtrack. Music can have a major impact on the mood of a scene and the flow of an entire movie. Music is an intricate component of a film, so it’s important to hit on all cylinders by matching the right piece of music to help trigger emotion from its viewer. I was excited to take a trip down memory lane, but when I was asked to write this piece I realized there was a huge collection of films to go through making up this list. First, let’s define “memorable” – it’s something that’s worth remembering or easily remembered. So, for our list of most memorable movie dudes, we took both meanings into consideration – male characters that are both easily remembered (you don’t need hints, clues, or the like) and WORTH remembering. That’s the key word here – worth. There are thousands of great performances or great actors who can bring any character to life but these male CHARACTERS are the ones we know right off the bat and are okay in our book. July 21st is National Junk Food Day, which should be pretty self-explanatory. I watch a lot of movies, and most of these movies employ the word “f*ck” on more than one occasion. It’s not like I go searching for movies that drop the F-bomb, it’s just what comes with the R-rated territory these days. After the early success of The Expendables, it’s only natural that word of a sequel is already out. Everyone will have their speculations as to what actors should join the greatest action ensemble ever, including me. Although there are numerous unknowns who’ve cut their teeth in dozens of action flicks, The Expendables 2 deserves more household names and faces to share the explosions and fighting that gave every man with a pair a grin from ear to ear. Hopefully Arnold (if politically possible) and Bruce will get more screen time in the sequel, but the following actors should definitely be considered for major roles regardless.

Sequels, Remakes, Reboots and “Reimaginationings” have been Hollywood’s bread and butter over the past decade, however movies like 2008′s Rambo and Alien vs. Predator wouldn’t exist without the original classics from the decades before it. If you’re a guy and haven’t seen these movies, you better speed, shoot, fight or explode yourself to your local Blockbuster, add them to your Netflix Queue or find them on eBay because they’re all must sees.

We do not always get the best wingman. But, just for the hell of it, imagine that we did get the wingman that we deserve. Imagine that things could happen like they do in the movies. Hell, I would be lying if I told you that I never imagined any one of the following movie characters stepping in to save my ass that lonely night at the party. Despite its current invite-only status, the new hottest thing in social networking (and pretty much everything else) is Google Wave. This new technology combines email, IM, social networking, file sharing and chat rooms to provide internet users with a comprehensive communication device more thorough than anything else the world has ever seen.
