This was, of course, after someone else called you to invite you somewhere. Instantaneous information? A thing of the future, man. And now the future’s here but it can be confusing so here is how to use Facebook Places.

In these harsh economic times, shacking up with a few friends is a popular way to save money on living costs — or, if you’re in school and living on campus, you might have no choice but to live with someone else. One of the many glories of being a twenty-something is this rite of passage: sharing a living space with someone from a completely different background.

You’re more than likely aware of the ongoing battle between Facebook and its users over privacy issues. Specifically, Facebook’s continually resetting privacy settings are pissing users off as they see their names and details strewn all over the internet. May 31st is Quit Facebook Day, according to the aptly titled QuitFacebookDay.com. Here are five reasons to join the other 12,000 sensible people who are quitting Facebook.
Though we’ve all heard that there are future employers, spouses, and murderers who are going to look us up on Facebook to stalk our past indiscretions, how many of us can truly say that our Facebooks are rated PG? While I remember myself painstakingly deleting every picture with the slightest reference of alcohol before I entered college…

In a fit of fear inspired by terrorism and Internet crime, former privacy-is-sacred country Sweden has decided to change their laws regarding digital privacy. This week, a law will be voted on that would give Swedish government and police forces the ability to fully monitor phone, email, and Internet traffic going into and out of the country.
