Aliens will soon be descending on the western front in Cowboys & Aliens. In the movies, aliens have always come down to Earth to either greet us or eat us. Sometimes the aliens are a masterpiece of genetics and intelligence. Other times they are just dopey shmucks who just sort of wandered onto our planet accidentally. Hopefully when it happens for real, they’ll be the latter. We pulled up a list of the best and worst aliens, rated by their bad@ssery. Check out the gallery after the jump.

Ever since Twilight flashed its sparkly fangs onto the silver screen, young girls and crazy cougars everywhere have been going gaga for “monsters” with pale complexions and six packs that us guys can’t compete with. They’ve already made vampires and werewolves pansies and I have my suspicions that mummies and the Creature from the Black Lagoon are next. Here are a few monsters that, no matter how hard female writers may try, won’t be able to turn into sexy models. At least, I hope not. See what makes them so very un-sexy after the jump!

Is Doomsday upon us? With the 8.9 magnitude earthquake and resulting tsunami in Japan, many believe Mother Nature will do us in. On an episode of Conan, Seth Rogen mentioned George Lucas firmly believed the world would meet its maker in 2012. Harold Camping, a Christian radio broadcaster from California predicts May 21, 2011 is the day we all perish. While weather is a leading candidate for global collapse, others believe alien invasion isn’t that far fetched. It’s been a popular theory in movies, at least. Just look at the titles coming out: Battle: Los Angeles, Paul, Mars Needs Moms, Super 8, Cowboys and Aliens. The list is extensive. Luckily, we’ve narrowed it down to the 10 most memorable. See our picks after the jump!

After the early success of The Expendables, it’s only natural that word of a sequel is already out. Everyone will have their speculations as to what actors should join the greatest action ensemble ever, including me. Although there are numerous unknowns who’ve cut their teeth in dozens of action flicks, The Expendables 2 deserves more household names and faces to share the explosions and fighting that gave every man with a pair a grin from ear to ear. Hopefully Arnold (if politically possible) and Bruce will get more screen time in the sequel, but the following actors should definitely be considered for major roles regardless.

Sequels, Remakes, Reboots and “Reimaginationings” have been Hollywood’s bread and butter over the past decade, however movies like 2008′s Rambo and Alien vs. Predator wouldn’t exist without the original classics from the decades before it. If you’re a guy and haven’t seen these movies, you better speed, shoot, fight or explode yourself to your local Blockbuster, add them to your Netflix Queue or find them on eBay because they’re all must sees.

In an industry that is fond of retooling, remaking, and flat-out copying its past work, it would nice if Hollywood updated some of these cinema greats (and not so greats) in 3D?

When it comes to martial-arts, womanizing, full-splits and sweet dance moves, not many can go toe-to-toe with Jean Claude Van Damme, “The Muscles from Brussels.”
Born in Belgium, JCVD spent the earlier years of his life lifting weights and kicking ass, earning a black belt in karate before most kids get their first boner.
