Can Sony’s Motion Controller “Arc” Win the Console war?

Sony is set to bring the PS3 console to the next level in the Fall this year, with the introduction of their new (and very odd looking) motion sensing technology. The motion controller has been referred to as the sphere, Gem, and the wand, but is now being named, ARC. Using a Wii-mote style controller with a large colour changing, light ball on the end, user are ab… Click to read more

Sodium One: Heavy on socializing, light on salt

Massively Multiplayer online games (aka MMOs, aka what your roommate used to play for ten hours straight) would seem to be something of a cluttered field; the furry mythical creatures of World of Warcraft reign supreme. That said, it looks like Sony is interested in making a console-based MMO integrated into their Playstation Home gaming community.

It’s a solid platform and the game I played on it (Ratchet and Clank) was quite fun. However, if you can’t read the writing on the wall that the PS3 is hurting, you’re either completely blind or hopelessly ob… Click to read more
