So, what constitutes a “college” or “university” movie? Well, the main character(s) must be in college or on a college campus for the majority of the film – so no post-high school, pre-college kids like those in American Pie, Superbad, Say Anything, American Graffiti and the like. Though we do have a film that has guys OUT of college, they’re trying to start a fraternity, which is SO college. No film schools, no law schools, no medical schools.
