It’s no secret that celebrities tend to attract lots of attention (they ask for it). Sometimes, though, that can be unwanted attention not just reserved for the typical stare at a chest or butt. This attention comes from obsessed stalkers, something that I bet Courtney Stodden will soon have invent. These stalkers are all very real, and they range in severity from mildly annoying to deadly. The 63rd annual primetime Emmys were last night (9/18) and we gotta say Jane Lynch was pretty stellar. We don’t watch Glee but we might have to tune in if she’s pumping out gems like she did at the ceremony. That opening number was awesome. We’re pretty sure you could boost any show’s ratings with a double dose injection of Lynch. She should probably get her own show. Anyway, other than the impromptu Miss Universe-esque act pulled off by the Best Lead Actress nominees, there wasn’t much in terms of entertainment. Other than the new Charlie’s Angels presenting Best Male Lead in a Drama to Coach Taylor, there wasn’t much eye candy either (unless you like low-cut “cleavage” dresses that exposed bony chest-plates). We’ve been pretty nostalgic here at COED lately. Earlier today, we showed you candid pics from the 61st and 62nd Academy Awards. In early February, we showed you yearbook photos of a former fat kid turned skinny rock star comedian and a beautiful blonde who went from hoodies to hot hand bras. Now, we turn our attention to the music industry with yearbook photos of 41 famous “rock stars”. While you may notice not everyone in our gallery can be categorized as “rock”, you have to admit they underwent a “rock star” transformation. For those who watched the 83rd Annual Academy Awards Sunday night and were unimpressed, we’d like to take you back to the 61st and 62nd annual ceremonies thanks to the photography of Alan Light. Just about everybody enjoys taking a stroll down memory lane, and many times that jaunt can jog a fuzzy (and funny) sense of nostalgia. Back in ’89-’90, Natalie Portman was 7-8 years old, Kirk Douglas was 72-73 years old (I’ll let that sink in), Demi was still with Bruce, Tom Cruise wasn’t worshipping aliens, and River Phoenix was alive. The 61st edition was notable for not having a host while Rain Man swept most of the major categories. The 62nd ceremony saw Billy Crystal MC while Driving Miss Daisy picked up the most wins. This week’s viewing schedule is jam-packed with action, adventure, and bad vocals. There are some new shows premiering this week as well as some old favorites returning. So warm up your channel-changing thumb and get ready for some action!
