After helping her mother run a fruit stand since the age of 11, Russian model Natalia Vodianova moved into an apartment with a friend and started her own fruit stand. From the earning, she was able to help out her disabled sister as well as enrolling in a modeling academy. Told she could do well if she learned English, Natalia (nicknamed ‘SuperNova’) learned English in three months and soon moved to Paris to model full-time. She’s done campaigns for David Yurman, Louis Vuitton, L’Oreal, Marc Jacobs, Miss Sixty, and Calvin Klein and currently earns roughly $4.5 million per year.
