We all know by now that the 1980s were a strange and disturbing decade, filled with wacky style, crazy drugs and crazier music. Like this gem, for instance, by Oingo Boingo, “Little Girls.” Now, I’d heard this song before. But until I’d seen the pedophilely video, which starts off with a Girl Scout descending into a quadrilateral-filled universe inhabited by midgets, I didn’t realize how totally f**ked that era really was.
OK, that headline doesn’t count if you go do something crazy, like watch a Rammstein video or something. But as long as you’re not just trying to one-up me, I swear this will be the craziest music video you see all day. Put together by the guys from the Neurosonics Audiomedical Labs, Inc.. I wish I could explain more what’s going on, but I can’t. Just watch and see.
One good thing to come out of this recession is the massive influx of creative content people are producing because they don’t have anything better to do with their laid-off selves. Take this awesome 8-bit Lego stop motion music video for instance. It took 1500 hours to put together. And you thought you were being productive because you made a new bong.
Apparently, Mr. T is a big proponent of women’s rights issues, especially mothers. Which is, we’re guessing, why he made this music video, “Treat Your Mother Right.” It’s almost like this is directly from an episode of Tim and Eric’s Awesome Show Great Job!.
It’s indisputable: “Riverbottom Nightmare Band” is not only the greatest Christmas song of all time, but the greatest song of all time, period.
I’m not even joking: check the heavy as f*** main riff, 70’s glam-rock moves and of course, the most bad-a** lyrics and melodies ever penned by puppets. This makes stoner-rock groups like Black Sabbath and Deep Purple sound like Smash Mouth by comparison.
So what if the lyrics don’t deal directly with Christmas. Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas, the movie the song is featured in, is a holiday movie; it’s festive by default. And it totally destroys Emmet’s entry into the talent show, the lame-o “In Our World/Brothers.”
Check out the mind-blowing lyrics after the jump!(more…)
SNL’s Andy Samburg has done it yet again with another hilariously inappropriate song/music video. In fact, I can’t even believe SNL allowed this to air (though they did wait until 12:40). But either way, it’s now official – you can say “jizzed” on national television.
When we last saw the former Mrs. Federline attempt a comeback, Britney and her belly were shamefully sprawled across the stage at the 2007 VMA’s. Fast-forward 14 months later and Brit-Brit is at it again. This time she’s chosen Germany’s Bambi Awards to test the water. Could there be a country more sympathetic to reinvention than Germany? Like Frick & Frack.
