For a lot of people, high school sucks. Especially if you’re not cool or popular or hot. Many bloggers probably don’t fit into any of those categories. You’re Doing It Wrong is a popular internet catchphrase that lets people know they might be able to improve the manner in which they are doing something. Word has it the meme started around 2004 thanks to a dude named Sebastian Grillmaier aka “Lone Gunman” who posted the first YDITW on a TribalWars forum. However, the trend didn’t become widespread until 2007-2008. So, while everyone in YOUR life continues to insist YOU are doing what you’re doing wrong, it’s time for you to realize you’re not alone. June is Gay and Lesbian Pride Month. In June 2000, Bill “Bubba” Clinton declared June “Gay & Lesbian Pride Month”, which was revised to “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month” by Barack Obama. Why June? Well, it was chosen to commemorate the 1969 riots in Greenwich Village that sparked the modern LGBT liberation movement in the U.S. Throughout the month, GLBT groups and associations hold pride parades, picnics, parties, and memorials (in addition to each other – ZING!). In May 1995, San Francisco-based sex toy and education shop Good Vibrations declared May to be “Masturbation Month.” Then in 1999, the Masturbate-a-Thon originated; the annual events (in San Fran & Denmark) “increase awareness of self-pleasure as a strategy for safer and healthier sex and to de-stigmatise self-love”. We thought we jerked it way too much, but then we saw these record holders (they’re f***ing machines).
