If you haven’t heard yet, Yanks closer Mariano Rivera notched his record-setting 602nd career save today as he closed out a 6-4 victory over the Minnesota Twins. We were there to capture the final historic out at Yankee Stadium. Check it out after the jump.

Being a Yankee fan is a full-time job. Anyone who is not a Yankee fan hates the Yankees. It’s gotten a little cliché to hate them, but honestly, I’m fine with it. I’ve put together my case in defense of Yankee fans and encourage any Yankee haters to tune in.

LeBron James was recently in the news promoting his campaign to retire the #23 in the NBA in honor of the great Michael Jordan. “His Airness,” LeBron and my favorite Movember supporter Don Mattingly aren’t the only great players who have shared the same number. In fact, #23 is (arguably) not even the greatest number in sports, just take a look at these.

Yankees fans, prepare to be unhappy. The video you are about to watch has the potential to be very damning for Mariano Rivera and the Yankees. This is footage taken during the bottom of the 10th of Mariano Rivera – on the mound – apparently spitting on the ball. If this is true, it’s very bad news for Rivera. Spitballs have been illegal since the freakin’ 1920s, as they are “highly dangerous” for batters.
