The very first issue of Rolling Stone magazine was published on November 9, 1967. In the debut issue, Jann wrote, “is not just about the music, but about the things and attitudes that music embraces.” During the 1980s the magazine began to shift focus towards being a general “entertainment” magazine. Music was still a dominant topic but there was increasing coverage of celebrities in television, movies and the pop culture of the day. The magazine also initiated its annual “Hot Issue” during this time. With it came sexier covers. To celebrate the anniversary of the mag’s premiere, we’ve pulled together its 39 sexiest covers. The term “cougar” first came to prominence  in the early to mid 2000s. At first, it was considered taboo and derogatory, carrying with it a negative connotation. However, many cougs decided to own the word and the attitude. The idea is nothing new, there have been plenty of “May-December” relationships in pop culture, but the term has sparked a renewed interest in them. We’ve been pretty nostalgic here at COED lately. Earlier today, we showed you candid pics from the 61st and 62nd Academy Awards. In early February, we showed you yearbook photos of a former fat kid turned skinny rock star comedian and a beautiful blonde who went from hoodies to hot hand bras. Now, we turn our attention to the music industry with yearbook photos of 41 famous “rock stars”. While you may notice not everyone in our gallery can be categorized as “rock”, you have to admit they underwent a “rock star” transformation. In short, Leo does what he wants when he wants, no questions asked. He’s one of the most versatile actors in cinema and quite possibly the best actor of his generation.

Growing up is hard. Especially when you’re famous at a very early age. Many child actors are unable to lead a normal childhood and turn to the fast lane, Hollywood lifestyle of drugs and booze. The Next Three Days came out this past weekend. The film stars Elizabeth Banks as a woman accused of murder. Her husband, played by Russell Crowe, attempts to clear her name. The thriller got us thrilled about all the crazy wives and girlfriends who could potentially murder someone, whether it be their mate, their extramarital date, or Jon and Kate Plus 8. Sure, we all get upset at our significant others once in a while and maybe we even fantasize about doin’ some damage but a lil’ thing called reason comes into our head and we chill the F out. We’re not so sure the same would happen for these wild WAGs.

Derek Jeter has officially locked up the First Lady of COED and it reminds us how much of a player (off the field) the Yankees captain is. “Friday Night Lights” hottie, Minka Kelly is only the tip of the ass iceberg for Jeter. In fact,the list of all the lovely ladies who are now simply Jeters Slew of Sloppy Seconds is still mind-blowing. But I guess this is what you get for being baseball’s most awesome dude alive.

As What Would Tyler Durden Do points out, Smallville began its 10th season earlier this week so the CW sent out pics of Laura Vandervoort as Supergirl. Though Laura is super hot, we wondered what other super sexy celebrities would look like in the Supergirl outfit. It didn’t take us long to find legions of photoshopped fakes featuring your favorite femme fatales in the good old blue, red, and gold. We’ve never been more jealous of the letter, ‘S’. Up, up, and away!

We got the opportunity to speak with a Vevo Beta-tester this week and he gave the new service rave reviews. It’s essentially a “Hulu for music videos.”
