If you’re idea of “deep” and “meaningful” storytelling revolves around characters whose primary defining features involve being quirky, then you’re probably a huge Wes Anderson fan. But whatever you think of the (sometimes) brilliant director of Bottle Rocket, The Royal Tenenbaumsand The Darjeeling Limited, you can’t argue his serious style credentials. So now that Anderson’s revealed to ThisRecording.com his “perfect mixtape”, “cool” people are clamoring to catch a listen. Luckily for them (you?), we’ve already done the dirty work.
Today, Guns ‘N’ Roses finally released the first single off their long awaited new album “Chinese Democracy”. The song entitled “Chinese Democracy” is hard hitting with the attitude one comes to expect from Guns ‘N’ Roses, yet with a completely different sound.
As of this writing, I still have the initial thrill of hearing a studio version, so I will try to make this review as objective as possible. The main difference in sound is the absence of Slash’s distinct, deep, smooth yet buzzing guitar, which is replaced with the much rarer guitars of what sounds like Buckethead, but I’m not sure considering he quit the band years ago and (like most of Axl’s ex-compatriots) on bad terms.

The blog-universe has been giving the seal of approval to Britneyâs leaked songs since early this week â have I been listening to the wrong ones?
These tracks are complete tripe. There is no way somebody with working eardrums can possibly give a âthumbs-upâ? to Britâs latest batch of bimbo-pop.
Even hipsters looking for their next bastion of irony will be thoroughly disappointed.
The three songs â âGimme More,â? âCold as Fire,â? âBaby Boyâ? â each have flat, lifeless production left over from the last millennium. This major mistake couldâve been easily remedied with the right collaborators (hint, hint).
