In a couple of short weeks, with the Olympics over and the dog days of summer crawling back into their hole for another year, the networks release unto us the new seasons of some of the best entertainment this side of a Michael Phelps race.

But with so many options to choose from, it’s hard to know which ones to give priority on your Tivo. So we’ve narrowed down the list to all the best guy shows, and we’re leaving the rest up to you.

Which shows are you most excited about this fall?

Like most disgruntled viewers of television today, I wonder why the f*** studios find it necessary to churn out countless amounts of updates and remakes instead of delivering fresh, interesting show concepts. I’m well aware of the motives behind the retreads – playing it safe while pleasing the easily pleased – but fact is fact: lame attempts at reviving old shows hurts everybody in the long run.

Following the unholy tradition is Knight Rider, a TV movie/Pilot hoping to recapture the hokey magic of the original series – and it’s pretty terrible on all accounts.

Is it so hard for studios to realize that viewers want their blockheaded action to be fun without insulting our intelligence? It must be difficult, according to Knight Rider’s creative team, who don’t know when to stop shoving ridiculous scenarios and storylines down our throats. (more…)

G.O.B. to voice KITT? That’s all I needed to know; I’m officially pumped about the show now.

Knight Rider will premiere in February on NBC.

In the 80’s and 90’s David Hasselhoff was the king of cool.

Dubbed “The Hoff,” he’s best known for his lead roles in Knight Rider and Baywatch, a successful music career (in Germany) and his marvelous chest hair.
