This year, October 29th is Nevada Day, which commemorates the admission of the state of Nevada into the union on October 31, 1864. On this holiday all state, county and city government offices are closed, along with most schools and libraries. A parade is held through the heart of downtown Carson City. These dudes are so serious about it they moved Halloween so it wouldn’t conflict with it.
