Where Will These Scandalous Five College Students Be In Five Years?

People fade and they fade fast. It’s just the nature of the news. A story generally lasts a week at best and then people file the story away only to be forgotten shortly thereafter. And most times we don’t really get wind of some fantastic college scandals that hit the news rags.

But there are 5 in particular that seem to be popular (if only for that one week) that I’d like to revisit in some time. And the reason is that I think these people are going to be doing some interesting things…..or not.

Here are 5 students who I’ll be curious about in five years. [Uncoached]

Halloween Costumes On A Student’s Budget

As the Halloween draws closer, it seems like you can’t walk a block without seeing a Halloween-themed window display or a temporary costume store. Unfortunately, if you come to those places looking for an interesting, decent-looking costume, you will probably have to shell out quite a bit of money. A trip to a major chain store would yield the same results. But don’t despair. It’s still possible to find creative costumes without putting too much strain on your wallet. You just need to know where to look. [Chicago Flame]

NCAA Basketball Picks Of The Day – Feb. 13, 2008

Basketball picks

Yesterday was a 2-3 day for our cappers as DA Zeus and Gebsta picked up wins and Fenboy fell to the bottom of the leaderboard with his second loss in a row.

Just when it looked as if Kentucky was turning its season around, the Wildcats were handed their most lopsided Southeastern Conference loss ever. DA Zeus’ (2-1) pick of Vandy -3.5 came in big time as Kentucky got romped by the Commodores by 41.

K-Lo (0-1) had a rough night as his Seton Hall Pirates came out flat. Marquette took command early on, going on a 15-0 run in the first half to take a 21-4 lead and never looked back. The Pirates lost by 25 points, unable to hang in and cover K-Lo’s +4 point spread.

For Bone (1-2) the Tar Heels got all they could handle from the Cavaliers, who had lost nine of 10 but played nothing like a team in a hopeless free fall. UNC squeaked out a 1 point win over the Cavs but were unable to cover the -8 point spread.

Gebsta (1-1), was correct is stating that the Seton Hall Pirates have thrown in the towel for the 2007-2008 season. His player to watch, Seton Hall’s Jamar Nutter, was ejected from the game at the start of the 2nd half securing an easy spread covering win for Gebsta.

As for Fenboy (0-2), a 10-point run by DePaul late in the first half was not enough as he missed covering the spread by 4. This game was Fenboy’s second loss in a row and he now sits at the bottom of the ranking.
