The Red Sox collapse has gotten a ton of coverage and the blame seems to have shifted almost entirely to the revelation that Jon Lester, Josh Beckett and John Lackey drank beers and ate fried chicken during the game on their days off. While it might seem crazy to the novice fan, their antics pale in comparison to these five in-game partiers. The real story of the day was the Boston Red Sox annual game against Boston College. Josh Beckett, Clay Buchholz and Junichi Tazawa mowed down Golden Eagle hitters in flawless appearances. Geoff Oxley got the start on the mound for Boston College and pitched a scoreless first inning, walking two.
