Last night, country music’s best gathered to celebrate the year’s best artists at the CMAs. Personally, I’m not a fan of country music. I fully support the messages behind most songs – drink and screw – but I’ve never really 100% followed the scene. It’s been argued that southern women are the hottest and overall best because of their ability to A) party and B) still look hot / not act psycho / remain classy while doing it. Well, color me surprised, because I didn’t think Erin Andrews was a country music fan or from the south, but she dominated the red carpet at last night’s ceremony. There is just something to be said for a babe with a slight twang in her voice. As if her looks alone did not make her hot enough, that little southern accent vaults her from babe status to an outright sex symbol. When she shakes her hips in those skin tight jeans, mmm — it is easy to forget that there are words coming out of her mouth.
The Academy of Country Music will be recognizing the best voices in country music Sunday night (April 18th) with the Academy of Country Music Awards. While they are actually concerned with what these entertainers have to say (sing), we here at COED would like to recognize those that have something exceptional on top of their exceptional vocal chords.
