It should come as no surprise that professional athletes party pretty hard – they’re constantly under pressure, make serious bank, and have a roster of hunnies at their disposal. Coaches often talk about how champions are developed off the field. Sure, they’re probably referring to early morning work-outs and film study, but these guys are bringing their A-Game to the bar and the club. I guess they just can’t turn it off. Being that it is America’s past time, it’s natural that baseball is this country’s most over scrutinized sport. So what happens when the pressure gets dialed up? When the spotlight shines brightest? Verbal diarrhea. Some (like George Brett) talk actual diarrhea while some are trying to protect their credibility (I still believe in you, Brian McNamee). And others? Well others are dealing with their fate as marginally good (ahem Jason Giambiahem) by calling attention to a ridiculous (ly awesome?) bit of facial hair.
