October 23rd is Izabel Goulart’s birthday. In the world of modeling, this girl has done it all. She was Victoria’s Secret Angel from 2005-2008 and more recently was featured in this years Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition…as a rookie. If you saw the issue, it was pretty clear that she looked nothing like a rookie and just killed every picture she was in. We’re still amazed she was left off Maxim’s Hot 100 list. Not to rub salt in the wound, but we have 86 reasons why she should’ve made the cut after the jump. Happy birthday, Izzy!

As we mentioned earlier, Rosie Huntington Whiteley was #1 on Maxim’s Hot 100 list while Brooklyn Decker took a backseat to Avril Lavigne and Miley Cyrus somehow placed above Diora Baird. Plus, Cameron Diaz at #4? Yeah, she loves porn and flying cross country for d*ck, but still. With any list, the creators are bound to be skewered and scrutinized – that’s part of the appeal.  Overall, Maxim’s was pretty solid, but we think there were some glaring omissions that deserve some credit for their bodies… of work. This morning @SI_Swimsuit tweeted that Izabel Goulart and Anne V would be posing for a DKNY photoshoot in New York City. As you can probably tell from our 86 photo overdose on Izabel Goulart, we think she’s hands down one of the sexiest women on Earth. From the moment I read the announcement on Twitter, it became my mission to crash this production and share the pics with you. Luckily, @Modelina tweeted that the shoot would take place near their office, so off I went. After almost giving up on finding them, I stumbled upon the shoot a little further up the block. I immediately busted out our sick Nikon D7000 and started snapping shots, which you can see in the gallery after the jump!

Izabel Goulart was one of 5 rookies appearing in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Unless you were a huge Victoria’s Secret fan, her name might not ring a bell, at least, not in the U.S. The majority of her pictorials have appeared in international mags like French and Japanese Vogue, French magazine, and Numero. In addition to being a Victoria’s Secret Angel from 2005-2008, she’s also the Diabetes Research Institute’s international ambassador, helping to raise money for free insulin provisions to diabetic children. It’s been an intense couple of days for the ladies appearing in the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The announcement surrounding who’d be featured came this past Friday, then Letterman had the ladies on The Late Show to do his Top Ten list. From there, they waited anxiously to find out who would be on the cover. Who would’ve thought wearing a bathing suit could be so stressful? Well, you wouldn’t know it by looking at these sexy SIrens as they arrive at the Ed Sullivan Theater yesterday for the taping of last night’s episode.

We’re officially one step closer to knowing which stunning swimsuit model will own the cover of the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Friday night, SI unveiled the 17 featured models that will fill the pages of the overly-anticipated issue set to hit stands Tuesday, February 15th. There were a few surprises, most notably the absence of COED fave Daniella Sarahyba. But with returning veterans like Brooklyn Decker, Irina Shayk and Julie Henderson, alongside some of 2010′s hottest rookies and this year’s batch of newbies, 2011 is shaping up to be the sexiest edition yet.

Victoria’s Secret model Izabel Goulart is following the footsteps of fellow Brazilian models Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio who have leveraged their commercial Victoria’s Secret success into even more success in the high-fashion world. She recently landed the cover of Japanese Vogue’s March 2011 issue, making this her first Vogue cover outside of the Brazilian edition.
