Want to watch the Master golf tournament (which started today, BTW) but aren’t anywhere near a television? Fear not – you can now watch (some of) the Masters straight from your iPhone! The Masters iPhone app will show you live broadcast coverage of the holes 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16, plus on-demand video highlights at the end of each day of competition. It also gives you easy access to the “leaderboard, player scorecards, stats and bios, news updates, tournament photos, video archives, and a course map of August National Golf Club.”

• Avoid businesses that have been flagged for having no public restrooms – saving you precious time

Want to buy more crap? Well, tomorrow Amazon will be releasing its iPhone app, which will allow users to take a picture of anything and then get an Amazon page to buy that thing. So how the hell does this work? Magic? Amazing technology? Nope – Amazon has a team of people actually matching up every photo to products on Amazon.com. They recieve the photo you send to them and then get back to you with an answer in anywhere from five minutes to 24 hours. So I just got an iPhone yesterday and it’s already been an enormous time-waster/pain in the ass. I think I got the pain in the ass part figured out, but that will only add to the time-wasting…Anyway, I avoided being up-sold at the AT&T store and walked out case-free.
