Out of all of the ‘live ‘ electronic music that I’ve seen, the Chemical Brothers are easily the most visually stimulating DJs that you can go and see. Instead of merely mixing their songs together, their use of serious visual effects that create an experience unlike any other. Truthfully, watching a DJ spin isn’t that exciting whi… Click to read more

Avicii just released the music video for his smash club-hit “Levels.” I’m surprised that he even bothered to make a video for this song, it’s not like it needs one to get burn. Having said that, I’m going to be thinking about this weird-*ss video for awhile. I don’t want to ruin anything for you, but it’s clear that his dance music is contagious… kind of dangerously so. Check out the brand spankin’ new hotness after the jump.

I’ve started to save up my money. Not because I’m nervous that our economy is going to fail and China will buy us all to make pills out of, but because I want this Ninja House. It’s got secret rooms and compartments, trap doors, and concealed weapon hiding places. This is so legit. Apparently it was filmed in Iga Prefecture in Japan.

The electronic dance music scene, also known as EDM, has seen a surge of masked DJs over the past decade. From classic house producers like Daft Punk, to newer electronic mixers like the Bloody Beetroots, these masked DJs have mesmerized the massed with their musical pursuits. Some say Leo DiCaprio‘s 1998 movie “The Man In the Iron Mask” was based on a house DJ. Let’s get to know the men (and women?) behind the masks!

Frat-rat (frat rat) n. 1: a girl that spends exorbitant amounts of time at a frat house, usually with the intent to slut it up with one or more of the fraternity brothers; a girl that bangs a different frat guy every week. Any way you slice it, the term ‘frat-rat’ is far from endearing. Yet there is always that girl who seems proud to make it her reputation.

Say hello to Kraftwerks – no, make that go back to 1974 and say hello there. Four decades of electronic sound comes as a CD box set bursting with remastered versions of eight albums that turned pop and dance music into computerized electronic minimalism. How’s that for Dusseldorf Zen?
These electro-pioneers are as fresh today as ever – so of cou… Click to read more

Supporters of legalization and decriminalization of marijuana received a boost from Capitol Hill Tuesday, as Massachusetts Congressman, Barney Frank introduced a bill to the House of Representatives, which, if passed, would decriminalize marijuana on the federal level. The bill would remove federal penalties for personal possession of up to 100 grams of marijuana (roughly 3.5 ounces)…

I love me some TV on-air personalities, but when they start getting Presidential appointments – I start having issues. Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN’s chief medical correspondent, has been approached by Barack Obama’s transition team about the U.S. surgeon general’s post, according to sources inside the transition and at CNN.

To build a great house, you need a strong foundation upon which to assemble all the other pretty things. To build a great man, you also need a solid foundation upon which to add all the other little things that set the real men apart from the stronzos — let’s not piss around, the stuff inside matters most.
Over the last few years of… Click to read more
