Well, uh… hmmph. Ummm, jeez. MacGruber, man. I mean. What the hell happened? Best SNL film since Wayne’s World and you debut at #6? Media sources everywhere are calling it an “unmitigated bomb.” Pretty rough considering it’s almost made back its entire budget already in three days. I admit, I didn’t help the cause by not buying a ticket, but come on. I can’t buy 600,000 tickets.

Gone are the days when men would rule the “tough guy” roles in film. More and more women have made their way into the leading roles where strength and tenacity are key. These women have fought everything from zombies to psychotic murderers, all while bringing class and hotness to the screen. These are the truly badass women of Hollywood and it’s time they get some recognition.

What 80′s or 90′s slasher horror film isn’t complete without some sort of damsel in distress frantically running from their would-be tormentor in Jason, Freddy, or Michael? As they crash through their pitch black dreams into the open arms of the terrifying Freddy Krueger, we couldn’t help but feel at least slightly sorry for them. In celebration of the ninth release in this franchise’s storied history, we give you the women of Elm Street, some of whom turned out to be luckier than others.

We all watch movies…but have you ever watched a movie and said, “what was this director thinking?” or “how is this guy still making movies?” Chances are that answer is yes. Bad, overrated and delusional directors infect our theaters and televisions. They must be stopped!

With The Twatlight Gaga: New Poon coming out this weekend, I can’t help but feel more than a little peeved at how much attention vampires are receiving. More specifically, it irks me to no end to see hordes and hordes upon hordes of women swoon, seizure, and pass out over the mere mention of a vampire. No matter what the flick or show, chicks be lovin’ dem bloodsuckers. Well, I say they’re c*cksuckers!

I’m not sure if film-festival favorite Teeth, a story of a girl practicing abstinence who happens to have a toothy, terrifying vagina, is a straight-up horror flick or a delicious exercise in dark satire. Whatever Teeth turns out to be, expect to hear a strong buzz about it leading up to its limited release in theaters (New York and L.A.) November 30.

Have you ever wondered if Hollywood studios reuse the same scream effect over and over again? If you have, it’s with good reason.
The infamous death scream – “aaaaaaiiiyyeeeeaaaaaahhhh” – is called the Wilhelm Scream. The scream was actually a stock effect used in the 1951 film Distant Drums; it has been used in over 200 mov… Click to read more

The ass-tastic Jessica Alba plays a vision-impaired violinist in The Eye who gets her vision back via a cornea transplant…only for her eyes to deceive her and show horrific instances from the prior eyeball-owner’s life! It’s a remake of a 2002 film made in Hong Kong titled Gin Gwai.
Yeah it sounds kinda lame (like her last flick) but she… Click to read more
