Louis CK’s Live at the Beacon Theater special is streaming online at LouisCk.com for 5 bucks and you HAVE to watch it. Why you ask? Because despite being one of the funniest mother f**kers on the planet, Louis CK is also one of the coolest. Instead of releasing the show in limited release through HBO or Comedy Central, Louis funded the show out of his own… Click to read more

I only learned a few months ago that Game of Thrones is actually based on a series of novels, and its taken all of my willpower to not read any of them. The show is so freaking good that I’m willing to wait at least one more season before I cruise through the entire story-line. What’s so nice to know is that, unlike shows like Entourage, the story is actually going to be airtight because it was written by an author planning for a series (not for a season by season basis.) Last night, HBO gave us a look at some of the stuff for the upcoming Season 2 and it’s going to be awesome. There aren’t any spoilers, so don’t be afraid to check out the video after the jump!

I know it’s still early, but that’s probably the funniest thing I’ll hear all day. Relax, it’s not real, this is just a clip from Ricky Gervais’ new BBC show Life’s Too Short. In this scene, Liam approaches Ricky and tells him that he wants to be “an improvisational comic.” I wasn’t ready for him to kick so much *ss in Taken, but I was really taken aback by how funny he actually was. Scaring midgets? Check. African hookers? Check. This scene has it all. Start your day with a laugh after the jump!

I had two choices of videos to post this morning, but I had to go with Floyd Mayweather giving Larry Merchant a serious talking to. He’s just making some seriously entertaining stuff for HBO. First he does the 24/7 show in which he recreates a scene from The Fighter, then he KO’s Ortiz with the dirtiest punch since I used NO Xplode to make jungle juice, and finally wraps it up with a post-fight interview that ends up with Larry Merchant nearly losing it on live TV. This interview keeps making me think about Pedro and Don Zimmer. Check out reason #32,156 that boxing is on its way out after the jump!
In today’s world, there’s an app for pretty much anything. And within these ‘anything’ categories, there are hundreds of individual apps to choose from. What should you buy? What should you try out? COED sorts out the best from the rest in our Apps of the Week feature. This week, we take a look at apps that allow you to watch television and movies when you’re on the move. YouTube not included. Thanksgiving may be over, but that doesn’t mean things are any less corny. After all, both Bob Saget and David Hasselhoff have shows debuting this week. But don’t worry…there are also plenty of other options this week!

Spiced rum, ultra premium tequila, and 160 proof whiskey… Wow, it sounds like we’re gearing up to make a seriously potent batch of jungle juice. While it’s not a bad idea, there will be no jungle juice this week. Instead we are excited to bring you our second installment of “COED’s Drinks of the Week.” featuring BlackBeard Rum, Tequlia Avión, and Old Homicide Straight Rye Whiskey.

We take a look at two vastly different shows airing on Sunday nights – one a comedy about the world’s most arrogant closer (sorry, Brian Wilson) whose second season is coming to a close and the other a new horror series about a sheriff stuck in a town of zombies whose pilot just debuted.

You can’t turn on the television or walk past a magazine without hearing about HBO’s newest series, Boardwalk Empire. The show which is only 5 episodes in takes place on New Jersey’s popular beach and boardwalk, Atlantic City. Starring Steve Buscemi, Shea Whigham, Michael Stuhlbarg, Anthony Laciura, it’s set in the early 1920′s when business is booming, everything is for sale, and it doesn’t require much for men to live like kings. With episodes directed by Martin Scorsese, Tim Van Patten, Jeremy Podeswa, Alan Taylor and Allen Coulter, longevity isn’t a question for this hit show. Here’s a few reasons why we love it:
