Thanks to SNOWtober, Halloween in NYC sucked. Layers of clothing = complete opposite of what we’re looking for out of girls’ costumes. Anyway, the annual Halloween parade in NYC’s Greenwich Village went down last night and we were there snappin’ pics. Though the chill put a squash on any costume thrills, there were still plenty of hot chicks braving the elements. Unfortunately, we didn’t get footage of the food cart vendor throwdown in which a girl got punched by a the man manning the cart and threats of a ripped throat were made. Maybe next year. Ohio University is known for throwing one of the craziest Halloween parties on Earth, so it’s interesting / ironic that one of their student groups known as “STARS” (Students Teaching Against Racism) has created a poster campaign wagging its PC finger at those who wear “racist” Halloween costumes. Each poster in the series shows an Ohio University student of a different ethnicity holding a photograph of an offensive costume with two sentences on it: “We’re a culture, not a costume.” And “This is not who I am, and this is not okay.” The group’s president says she’s “glad everyone likes our poster campaign”. By now, we’ve all seen Heidi Klum’s off the wall Halloween costumes (bat boy and skinless ‘Bodies’ exhibit) and Kim Kardashian’s Poison Ivy get up, neither of which were really that hot. Apparently, they didn’t read our commentary on what guys think of girls’ Halloween costumes.
