On Guitar Hero 3, my absolute favorite song to rock out to is Muse’s face-melting number, “Knights of Cydonia.” The song just rocks. But this guy has taken it one step further, and put together this awesomely ridiculous acapella rendition, with all of the parts, that is nothing short of amazing.

All you wussies who think you’re badass because you can play Guitar Hero on “expert” are about to get taken down a notch – because this kid can do it while solving a g*ddamn Rubik’s cube!! Of course, he’s probably never kissed a girl, but that’s just because they don’t know his skills…
Taking Guitar Hero obsession to a new high, 14-year-old Danny ‘Phenom’ Johnson recently burst his way into the Guinness Book Of World Records not once but three times, setting new standards with the Longest Note Streak On Guitar Hero (with a score of 3,722 and 100% on the track ‘Through The Fire And The Flames’), the Highest Score For A Single Track (the just-shy-of-a-million 985,206 on the same ditty), and the Highest Score On Guitar Hero: Metallica with a rockin’ 1,009,056 on ‘Mercyful Fate’.
“I don’t think there is anything that can stop this kid, his talents are infinite,” said his father of the feat, possibly confusing ‘ability at a video game’ with ‘world domination’.
A few weeks back we asked that you check out Game Stop’sGuitarHeroAuditions.com and create an alter ego with the “Rock Name Generator.” Many submitted their alter egos and four won!

Congrats to the winners and keep checking out COED for future giveaways.
When the insanity that is Guitar Hero on “expert” gets too much to play on the guitar, it’s time to take matters into your own hands. Like this guy, who made a custom MIDI drum pad specifically for Guitar Hero 3. Here he is playing “Through the Fire and Flames” on the drums. It also helps if you’re a ridiculously good drummer – insane! [CollegeHumor]
Guitar Hero is back with its fourth edition, World Tour, which boasts a robust catalog of over 85 rockin’ hits ranging from Jimi Hendrix to Silversun Pickups.
