By now we’re all numb to the marketing tie-ins for movies. It’s not at all uncommon today to see movies being promoted through clothing, cereal and, of course, video games. Since the goal of a video game tie-in is to gain popularity and advertising for the film in question, one doesn’t expect too much. Sometimes, however, the game can be a faithful homage that complements what we love so much about these movies. Other times the video game is nothing more than a cash-in. Check out COED’s list of movie video games that we remember for better or worse after the jump.

How many times have we heard the argument that a movie is awful because it’s unoriginal? Originality would seem like a very relative subject, but that’s not to say Hollywood’s brimming with great ideas. In fact, studios nowadays are opting to rehash successful, but tired, movie plots in the vein hope of making lightening strike twice. But just because a story has been done before doesn’t mean it can’t be used again to some great effect or improve upon the established formula. Regardless, people still complain about familiar stories making for bad movies. Check out COED’s list of 8 movies that have gotten a bad rap for their lack of originality!

We’re not quite sure why, but there’s something about toys doing drugs that makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. (You know, other than the actual drugs…) From Thor to Barbie, just put a joint in their mouths and some coke on their noses, and these dope-loaded playthings come to life in a way you’ve never before seen.

In fact, they look so real, you almost want to have an intervention.
