On Thursday, April 9th, some of the best golfers from around the world will head to Augusta, Georgia for the 72-hole, four-day-long 2009 Masters tournament to compete for the coveted Green Jacket (and a butt-load of cash). But for some foolish reason, this event is men-only. And any fool knows that the best way to make anything that’s men-only a hell of a lot better is to add a ton of super hot chicks! Which is precisely what we’ve done here with Gorgeous Girls Golfing: Masters Edition. These ladies will make you want to (insert hole-in-one joke here…).

Here’s the deal: It’s high time for all of us to do everything we can to ensure that Earth stays clean and habitable. And switching to renewable sources of energy is a must. But as is, it’s pretty hard to “go green” without looking totally lame. So until these green industries start to hire better designers that don’t make everything look like it came from a gay alien’s fantasy, here are a few small things you can do to reduce your “carbon footprint” while not looking like assclown.
Check out How to Go Green Without Looking Gay after the break!(more…)
While we were all watching our parents cry over their lost retirement accounts and House Republicans decided not the bail out the rich – I was expecting stigmata or the seas to turn to blood. Instead, I found a little blurb on CNN that noted a $25B loan to the auto industry that was quietly approved with some MAJOR implications.
First, the background: the American automakers have been struggling with pensions and pay increases for union workers who have dedicated their lives to American cars. Unfortunately, the automakers themselves have the reflexes of a 90 year old Parkinson’s patient.
While the world is moving forward with hyper-efficient cars, American automakers have what’s called a ‘backlog.’ In essence, they can’t start building efficient cars until they finish all the gas-guzzling SUVs that they currently have cued for production. Over $4.5B in SUV parts are not even in production yet, but “have to be used” before the companies will move onto the basic planning stages of new vehicles. (more…)
…Bringing the total number of reasons to 6 trillion. I’m not sure if this actually counts as ‘news’ to people with common sense, but it seems as though someone has finally decided to do a little research on exactly how much harm discarded cigarette butts are doing to the environment. It turns out, a lot! Who would’ve thought, a deadly, chemical laden stick thats bad for you and Mother Earth? (more…)
The best representatives of Mother Earth – Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Adam McKay – team up and bring pain to any motherf***er who messes with the environment.

Today is 7/7/07 and besides being the biggest day for weddings, like, ever, it is a big day for Planet Earth. As I told you before, Live Earth, a concert to benefit the planet/spread awareness of global warming will rock the planet (from all around the world) from morning until night.And while it will be an awesome show, todayâs extravaganza is about a lot more than making some snacks and enjoying some good music with friends. Live Earth is a chance to begin something huge and make great strides in changing the way we treat this planet. And no one knows more about this than one Mr. Al Gore.
Who, by the way, personally sent me an email to alert me of the upcoming concert. Well, âpersonallyâ? might be a strong word. Technically, I signed up for his email list and get updates from him weekly. But that is beside the point; the real point is that Mr. Gore has asked me to sign a pledge to change my actions and make a more positive impact on my beautiful planet. He also asked me to pass the pledge along.
So here it is: The Live Earth Pledge. Read it, click it and sign it. And begin making the difference that this earth so desperately needs.
I PLEDGE:
1. To demand that my country join an international treaty within the next 2 years that cuts global warming pollution by 90% in developed countries and by more than half worldwide in time for the next generation to inherit a healthy earth;
2. To take personal action to help solve the climate crisis by reducing my own CO2 pollution as much as I can and offsetting the rest to become âcarbon neutral;â? (more…)
