The embargo on good taste regarding the Serene Branson Grammy video officially ended last night when CBS2 put to rest false rumors that the anchor had suffered a stroke on-air. Well thankfully for us (and Ms. Branson) the internet is free again to what it does best… auto-tune, remix and ridicule the news. Not only is this remix “Berry Very Dareson”, but it’s also butter lay to da bone.

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards took place last night. Lady Antebellum and Arcade Fire took home Record of the Year and Album of the Year respectively last night while Eminem, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Train, The Black Keys, and Rihanna also took home hardware. There were some great performances – most notably Cee-Lo‘s peacock outfit worn during his Muppets rendition of “F*** You” featuring Gwyneth Paltrow and Eminem’s mash-up of Love the Way You Lie featuring Rihanna and Adam Levine blended with I Need a Doctor featuring Skylar Grey and Dr. Dre (one of our Songs of the Week). The ladies looked lovely – with the exception of Lady Gaga who looked like the devil’s daughter with pointy shoulders and mini-horns cropping up on her forehead. The electronic dance music scene, also known as EDM, has seen a surge of masked DJs over the past decade. From classic house producers like Daft Punk, to newer electronic mixers like the Bloody Beetroots, these masked DJs have mesmerized the massed with their musical pursuits. Some say Leo DiCaprio‘s 1998 movie “The Man In the Iron Mask” was based on a house DJ. Let’s get to know the men (and women?) behind the masks!

Steve Erkle was on TV like six times daily, and Lauren Hill was the Cat’s Meow and the Heir Apparent to Music royalty, but now that it’s year 2010, you may be asking yourself where are some of those people? What happened? Television and radio has changed in the past ten-fifteen years. New stars have rose while other celebrities have fallen off or moved to another planet seems like.
