The Killers have become much like George W. to me.  With each passing year, I found myself asking more intently: are people really falling for this?  I don’t mean to be a hater.  In fact, I thought, “Mr. Brightside” was a cute and catchy song.  But with their new album, “Day & Age“, I’m thoroughly shocked.

Are The Killers blatantly ripping off the 80’s, in whole, or has no one told them that it’s all been done?  Eh.  But hey, if you’re into that scene, regardless of originality, this album will probably be something that you love. (more…)

I’ve hit some of the hottest clubs in the New York City area – they’re all sweet but on Saturday September 27th I visited Mur.Mur at the Borgata and it blew everything I’ve ever known away. (more…)

Boys Like Girls used their explosion on the PureVolume“unsigned band” chart to land a major label record deal that has resulted in hundreds of thousands of records sold of their critically acclaimed self-titled album. Just two years ago, Boys Like Girls were playing small venues in the Boston area.  Today, they are gearing up to co-headline a five week national arena tour with Good Charlotte. On the verge of super-stardom, this quartet hasn’t forgotten their roots and the fans that helped them get to where they are today.
