Go-go music was kind of a failed genre back in the ’80s. Part of the problem was that everyone was trying to catch up to Chuck Brown. He was already the Godfather of Go-Go back then, thanks to his groundbreaking work with the Soul Searchers in the ’70s. We’re truly bummed to learn the 75-year-old soulster passed away today.
